Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletalsystem and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Doctors of Chiropractic are fully licensed physicians and practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend rehabilitative exercises, as well as nutritional, dietary, and lifestyle counseling. Patients may be assessed through clinical examination, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging and other diagnostic modalities to determine when chiropractic treatment is appropriate or when it is not an appropriate referral will be made.

Acupuncture is a characteristic component of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), a form of alternative medicine, and one of the oldest healing practices in the world. According to traditional Chinese medicine, stimulating specific acupuncture points corrects imbalances in the flow of "qi" through channels known as meridians; disruptions of this flow are believed to be responsible for disease.

Therapeutic massage is an important supplement to Chiropractic care and is recognized as one of the oldest methods of healing with references in medical texts nearly 4,000 years old. Massage therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of normalizing those tissues and consists of manual techniques that include applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, and/or causing movement of or to the body. Generally, massage affects the circulation of blood and lymph, reduces muscular tension, affects the nervous system through stimulation or sedation, and promotes tissue healing.
Where ever you are in starting or growing a family, we have the supportive and nurturing services you need along the way. Childbirth is often physically stressful for both mother and infant. We commonly treat many pre- and post-natal concerns as well as colic and ear infections in infants. We specialize in acupuncture for fertility, prenatal massage, perinatal, infant, and pediatric chiropractic care.

If your feet don't get proper support from your footwear, simple movements such as walking, running, and jumping can eventually pull your body out of alignment, causing stress and fatigue to your lower body. Arch supports are highly recommended as they are designed to reinforce your feet, saving you from the pain and discomfort of a misaligned body. Custom foot orthotics can help with numerous conditions, especially plantar fasciitis–a common and painful inflammation of the plantar fascia of the foot. Other conditions you may develop from unsupported arches include: low back pain, neck pain, hip pain, and ankle pain.

Dry needling is the use of either solid filiform needles for therapy of muscle pain, including pain related to myofascial pain syndrome. Dry needling is sometimes also known as intramuscular stimulation (IMS). Dry needling targets the trigger points, which is the direct and palpable source of patient pain.
